For Admins & Chiefs
This section covers administrative features — managing your team, configuring roles and services, building rotation schedules, generating call schedules, and more.
Admin vs. Chief
CallGrid has two administrative roles with an important distinction:
- Admin — Full administrative access, but not included in schedules. Admins can manage everything — team, rules, rotations, call generation — but cannot be assigned to call or rotations themselves.
- Chief — Full administrative access and schedule participation. Chiefs can do everything an admin can, and they also take calls and get assigned to services like any other resident.
If someone in your program needs to both manage schedules and participate in them, assign them the Chief role.
